Chapter 6 - The Uninvited Guest"You..." Julian whispered, color draining instantly from his face. "What the hell are you doing here? Security! Security!"

"Quiet down, little brother," I said, my voice cutting through the room like a scalpel. "You’ll wake the guests."

Before Julian could lunge forward, the heavy oak doors opened wider, and two uniformed county sheriff deputies stepped into the room, flanked by Marcus, the venue director, and a man carrying a thick stack of legal binders.

"What is the meaning of this?!" My mother shrieked, bursting into the room behind the deputies, followed closely by my father, whose face was purple with rage. "Evelyn! How dare you show your face here after what you did! Julian banished you!"

"He did," I agreed calmly, walking further into the room and inspecting a floral arrangement with feigned boredom. "In writing, actually. 'You’re not invited. Goodbye, loser.' Classic prose, Julian. Truly Shakespearean."

Dad stepped up, his finger shaking as he pointed it at my face. "Have you lost your mind? This is your brother's wedding! Apologize right now, or so help me God—"

"Or what, Dad?" I interrupted, turning my gaze to him. The cold, unwavering look in my eyes made him instantly choke on his words. "Will you cut me out of your will? The will where you divided up a mountain of debt and unpaid mortgages? Please, don't threaten me with a good time."

"Evelyn," Chloe whimpered, clutching her veil as tears welled in her eyes—tears of pure, calculated performance. "How could you ruin our special day? Everyone is outside! The guests are arriving!"

"Let them arrive," I smiled sweetly. "They’ll make wonderful witnesses."

I turned to the deputy sheriff, nodding politely. "Officer, pursuant to Section 8 of the property lease filed with the county clerk this morning, the entity hosting this event—Vance Family Holdings LLC, of which I am the sole managing director—is revoking all permission for Julian Vance and Chloe Sterling to occupy Cedar Grove Estate, effective immediately."

The deputy nodded, stepping forward. "Mr. Vance, Miss Sterling. You have ten minutes to clear the premises. All assets on site—including the catering, flowers, photography equipment, and venue structures—belong exclusively to Miss Evelyn Vance. Any attempt to use them constitutes trespassing and conversion of property."
