Chapter 10 - NEW HORIZONSOne year later.

The sun was setting over the city skyline, casting a warm, golden glow across the modern, minimalist rooftop terrace of the Aegis & Sterling headquarters.

String lights twinkled overhead, and the soft murmur of laughter and celebration filled the evening air. The office was packed—not with high-society snobs or corrupt venture capitalists, but with brilliant engineers, loyal clients, independent auditors, and close friends who had stood by them through the fire.

At the center of the terrace stood Elena and Maya, holding crystal flutes filled with sparkling cider.

"Well," Maya smiled, clinking her glass gently against Elena’s. "One full year in business, zero security breaches, and our first major industry award for corporate transparency. I’d say we survived."

"Survived?" Elena laughed, taking a sip of her drink and looking out over the glowing city. "We didn't just survive, Maya. We built an empire that nobody can ever tear down, because it's built on truth."

Across the terrace, the city lights flickered to life one by one, stretching out into the endless horizon. The ghosts of the past—the ruined wedding, the forged signatures, the corrupt billionaires, and the manipulative con artists—were nothing more than distant memories buried deep in the archives of history.

Elena took a deep breath of the crisp evening air, feeling a profound, unshakeable sense of peace settle over her soul.

The veil of lies had finally burned away, leaving behind a future that was entirely their own.
