Chapter 6 - THE COLD REVENGE OF THE RIGHTEOUS

"The Day the Global Cartel Fell."The heat inside the vault was becoming unbearable as the thermite melted a circular hole through the three-ton steel door.
2:55 PM.
Five minutes remained.
Mateo looked at the three options on the analog screen. With a steady hand, he pressed his fingers down on all three physical buttons simultaneously.
The Telex machine began to print at a furious, frantic pace, the paper spewing out onto the floor.
Outside, the lead mercenary’s satellite phone suddenly began to ring frantically.
The burning of the thermite stopped.
Through the melted hole in the vault door, Garza and Mateo could hear the lead mercenary’s panicked voice.
"What do you mean, frozen?! Our offshore accounts in the Caymans are gone?! Who authorized—"
A second later, the mercenary’s voice was cut off by another sound—the unmistakable, deafening chop of military helicopters hovering directly over the bank.
The glass ceiling of the lobby shattered completely as elite federal special forces rappelled down, flashbangs exploding in a blinding display of authority.
"Federal police! Drop your weapons! Hands on your heads!"
The mercenaries, realizing their employers no longer had the money to pay them—or the power to protect them—instantly threw their rifles to the ground.
Mr. Robles, clutching his bleeding shoulder on the floor, watched in horror as the tactical team bypassed him entirely and rushed to the vault door.
Using hydraulic spreaders, the federal forces popped the damaged vault door open.
But they didn't point their weapons inside.
Instead, the General of the Federal Police stepped forward, removed his helmet, and knelt before the small, eight-year-old boy standing next to Director Garza.
"Young Master De La Vega," the General said, his voice filled with deep respect. "We received the analog transmission from your grandfather's terminal. The Genesis Syndicate has been dismantled worldwide. Your grandfather is safe. The hospital has just confirmed his vitals have stabilized, and he is breathing on his own."
Mateo let out a breath he felt like he had been holding for years. He fell back into Director Garza’s arms, crying tears of pure relief.
THREE MONTHS LATER...The Polanco flagship branch of Alliance Bank had been completely rebuilt. The cold, snobbish marble had been replaced with warm, inviting wood and bright, open spaces.
At Window Number One, a new plaque had been installed:
"Dedicated to the service of all humanity—regardless of their clothes."
A sleek, luxurious black sedan pulled up to the front entrance.
The doors opened, and out stepped Don Alejandro de la Vega, looking healthy and sharp in a beautifully tailored gray suit, holding his cane with a proud smile.
Beside him walked Mateo. He was no longer wearing worn-out school shoes, but a pristine, custom-made suit that matched his grandfather's. Yet, in his hand, he still carried the same cracked, old leather briefcase.
The bank staff stood in a neat line, bowing respectfully as they entered.
Sitting on the curb outside the bank was a man in tattered, dirty clothes, begging for spare change. It was Mr. Robles. Blacklisted from every financial institution on earth, his assets seized, he had been reduced to the very status he once mocked.
Mateo stopped in front of Robles.
Robles looked up, his eyes filled with shame and fear, expecting the young billionaire to mock him or have him thrown off the property.
Instead, Mateo reached into his pocket and pulled out a crisp, brand-new $100 bill.
He bent down and placed it gently in Robles’s trembling hand.
"My grandfather taught me that money is not a weapon to look down on others," Mateo said softly, his voice echoing with the wisdom of a true king. "It is a tool to lift them up. I hope this helps you find your way back."

As Mateo and Don Alejandro walked into the bank, the doors sliding shut behind them, Robles stared at the bill in his hand, weeping silently.
The boy they had humiliated had not just broken the system—he had rewritten the rules of humanity.
