Chapter 10 - DAWN OF THE VANCE EMPIREThree months later.

The financial district of the city looked entirely different. The towering glass skyscraper that had once borne the name Ferrer Global now displayed a sleek, minimalist silver emblem: a rising phoenix interwoven with the letter V.

Inside the top-floor executive suite, high above the bustling streets, Valeria Vance stood by the floor-to-ceiling glass windows, holding a crystal glass of sparkling water. The morning sun illuminated the clean lines of her tailored charcoal-grey suit. The scar on her lip had faded completely, leaving behind only the memory of what she had endured—and what she had conquered.

The heavy oak door opened quietly, and Captain Vance stepped into the room, holding a secure encrypted tablet.

"The final asset liquidation is complete, Director Vance," Captain Vance reported with a crisp nod of respect. "The Ferrer family trust has been officially dissolved. Their remaining properties have been converted into public housing funds and scholarship trusts for the families they displaced."

Valeria took a slow sip of her water, her gaze fixed on the horizon where the city was waking up to a new era.

"And Nicolás and his father?" Valeria asked, without turning around.

"Trial is set for next week," Captain Vance replied, a faint smirk touching his lips. "Given the mountain of digital evidence we uploaded and the defection of their entire legal team, they’re looking at consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. Maximum security facility on the coast."

Valeria nodded slowly. She looked down at her right hand—the hand that had brought an entire corrupt dynasty to its knees with a single phone call.

"Good," Valeria said softly.

She turned away from the window, walking toward the grand mahogany desk where a fresh stack of corporate dossiers awaited her attention. The game of power had changed, and she wasn't just a player anymore—she was the board.

"Let's begin the expansion into the international markets," Valeria commanded, her voice ringing with absolute, unyielding authority. "We have a lot of debts left to collect."
