“Are you... are you our dad?” Emma asked quietly, looking up at Robert with her wide green eyes, the exact mirror image of Clara’s.
Robert’s chest heaved. He pulled all three children into his arms, crushing them against his chest as he wept openly, burying his face in their tangled hair.
“Yes,” Robert sobbed, his voice breaking with overwhelming joy and fierce, protective love. “Yes, I’m your dad. And I am never, ever letting you go.”
