Chapter 8 - A New Christmas MorningThe next morning, the grand living room of the Steel mansion looked like a winter wonderland.

A towering twenty-foot Christmas tree stood in the center of the room, adorned with glittering lights, silver ornaments, and hundreds of wrapped presents. But the greatest gift wasn't under the tree—it was the warmth filling every corner of the once-empty mansion.
Clara, resting comfortably on a plush sofa with a warm woolen blanket and a cup of tea, smiled as she watched the chaos unfold.
Ethan, Emma, and Evan—dressed in warm, brand-new clothes—were racing around the room, tearing open toy boxes and laughing with the unbridled joy of children who finally knew what a home felt like.
Robert walked over to Clara, holding two mugs of hot cider. He handed her one and sat down on the coffee table beside her, his expression radiant and entirely transformed.
“The doctors say she’s going to make a full recovery,” Robert said softly. “And I’ve already purchased the entire Hope Orphanage property. We’re tearing down the old building and constructing a state-of-the-art youth academy and family center named after you, Clara.”
May you like
Clara smiled, leaning her head gently against his shoulder. “You really have changed, Robert.”
“It took three seven-year-olds and a wooden angel to break through the ice,” Robert admitted, looking across the room where Evan was trying to balance a toy rocket on Ethan’s head while Emma laughed uncontrollably.
