Chapter 6 - THE END OF THE BULLY"Take your hand off her," Dante said. His voice wasn't loud. It was terrifyingly, impossibly quiet.

Lucas laughed nervously, his fingers loosening their grip out of sheer instinct. "Look, Romano, this is a domestic matter—Madison is my fiancée—"

Dante didn't argue. He didn't negotiate.

He crossed the living room in three massive strides, grabbed the front of Lucas’s shirt with one hand, and slammed him against the brick fireplace with enough force to rattle the mantle.

"You don't own her," Dante whispered, his face inches from Lucas’s terrified eyes. "And you certainly don't steal from my company."

Lucas gasped for air, his hands clawing uselessly at Dante's wrists. "What... what are you talking about?"

I stood up slowly from the floor, clutching the hard drive to my chest, and walked past them toward the open doorway.

"He's talking about the three million dollars you embezzled from the Cicero warehouse audits, Lucas," I said calmly. "And I just downloaded the complete transaction ledger and the IP logs pointing straight to your offshore accounts."
