Chapter 5 - The Flash Drive“Nobody is touching her,” Daniel commanded, his voice carrying the full, terrifying authority of a billionaire CEO defending his queen.

I walked down the center aisle, stopped ten feet away from Victor, and placed the black USB flash drive directly onto the polished marble table.
Victor frowned, glancing down at the tiny plastic device. “What childish theatrics is this? Do you think flashing toys will save your fake marriage?”
“That flash drive,” I replied, my voice ringing clear and steady across the silent boardroom, “contains unencrypted financial records, offshore wire transfer receipts, and voice recordings dating back twelve years to the Lekki Phase 1 construction collapse.”
Victor’s triumphant smirk flickered for a fraction of a second. A bead of sweat formed on his forehead.
“Lies,” Victor spat, though his voice lacked its previous thunder. “Defamation! Security, get them out of here!”
“It also contains,” I continued smoothly, opening my leather folder and pulling out a certified coroner’s report and a signed confession affidavit from the rogue contractor Victor hired, “proof that you embezzled four billion naira from the corporate expansion fund, framed Chief Engineer Nwosu for your structural failures, and orchestrated his murder when he threatened to expose you.”
The entire boardroom erupted into chaotic shouting. Several senior directors stood up from their chairs, staring at Victor in absolute horror.
Victor slammed his hands against the table, his face turning an ugly, mottled purple. “She’s lying! She’s a scheming nobody trying to steal the company!”
“Am I?” I asked softly.
I turned to the main overhead projector screen behind the board and plugged the flash drive into the central console.

Instantly, the corporate logo vanished.
In its place, a crystal-clear audio file began playing across the boardroom speakers—Victor’s own voice, recorded three years ago, laughing about how easy it was to manipulate safety audits and bury whistleblowers.
