My phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out and looked at the screen.
It was an automated security notification from my personal vault, followed by a brief text message from Marcus:
"All accounts clear, Boss. The past is officially closed."
I slid the phone back into my pocket, letting out a long, peaceful breath.
I didn't look back at the past, and I didn't worry about the future. For the first time in my life, I was standing entirely in the present—unbroken, unstoppable, and completely free.
