Chapter 5 - The Search for the PastMaisie began to settle in. She was quiet, observant, and heartbreakingly like Rachel. Patrick spent his evenings with her, listening to stories of her life on the road, of the painting Rachel had taught her, of the small, simple joys they shared.

He asked Maisie about Rachel’s final weeks.
"She was always painting," Maisie said. "She said she was painting a portrait of 'The Man Who Built The Glass Cage.' She kept it hidden under the bed."
