Chapter 10 - The Last FrameA year later.

Patrick sat on a park bench, watching Maisie paint. She was good—better than Rachel.
A man in a suit approached him. It was Thorne, the man who had taken his company.
"I heard you’re working for a firm that pays peanuts, Patrick," Thorne laughed. "Do you miss it? The power?"
Patrick looked at Maisie, who waved at him, her face lit with a joy he had never seen in his boardroom.
"I used to build cages, Thorne," Patrick said. "Now, I’m building a life. You’re the one in the cage now—you just haven't realized it."
As Thorne walked away, confused and bitter, Patrick realized that the torn photo in his pocket wasn't a symbol of what he lost. It was the map to everything he had actually found.
