Chapter 5 - The Collapse of an EmpireThe audio played across the boardroom’s high-end surround sound system with crystal clarity.

"...Make sure the boy doesn't talk about his father’s lab notes," Victor Sterling’s voice echoed through the room, cold and calculating. "If he compromises the biometric encryption project, liquidate the St. Jude accounts and bury the paper trail..."
Color drained completely from Victor Sterling’s face. He shot out of his chair, slamming his hands onto the table. "This is a fabrication! AI-generated deepfake garbage! Don't listen to him!"
"Is it, Victor?" Andrew asked calmly, standing up and buttoning his suit jacket. He slid a certified federal indictment across the polished wood toward Harold Vance. "That’s not just audio. That’s the federal wiretapping warrant executed twenty minutes ago by the Department of Justice, freezing every single asset connected to Sterling Capital and St. Jude’s Youth Home."
Phones across the boardroom began to buzz simultaneously. Board members checked their screens, their eyes widening in sheer terror as they watched their own stocks plummet in real-time as automated sell-offs triggered across Wall Street.
"You... you bastard," Sterling hissed, his voice trembling with rage as he lunged forward, only to be intercepted instantly by two federal agents who stepped out from the side doors of the boardroom, flashing badges.
"Victor Sterling, you are under arrest for human trafficking, corporate espionage, and financial fraud," the lead agent declared, clicking heavy steel handcuffs onto Sterling’s wrists.
As Sterling was dragged screaming and kicking out of the boardroom, the remaining board members sat paralyzed, staring at Andrew as if he were a god who had just descended from Mount Olympus.

Andrew didn't smile. He felt no triumph—only a cold, driving focus. He looked at the stunned executives and spoke with absolute finality.
"The meeting is adjourned," Andrew said, turning on his heel and walking out of the room. "Whitman Industries is now taking private control of all Sterling assets. And my first order of business will be dismantling every corrupt corner of this city."
