Chapter 5 - A New Hierarchy"Get her out of my sight," Dominic ordered without looking back. Security hauled the screaming, thrashing Vivienne out of the grand hall, her voice echoing down the corridors until the heavy oak doors slammed shut, sealing her fate.

The silence that followed was heavy, laden with the shifting of power.
Dominic turned back to Ella. He looked at the wine stain on her uniform, then up at the red mark still visible on her cheek. Without a word, he reached out and gently cupped her chin with his warm, calloused fingers, tilting her face up so he could inspect the injury.
"Does it hurt?" he asked, his voice losing all its corporate steel, softening into a deep, resonant warmth.
Ella felt her breath catch in her throat. Being close to Dominic Vance was like standing near a furnace—intense, overwhelming, yet strangely comforting. She shook her head slightly, her cheeks flushing, this time not from humiliation, but from the sudden, electrifying proximity.
"I am fine, Mr. Vance. Really," Ella whispered, pulling back respectfully. "I just... I had to do what was right. My grandmother always said—"
"Your grandmother raised a remarkable woman," Margaret interrupted, walking over and taking Ella’s other hand in her own frail, warm palms. The old matriarch looked at her son with a knowing smile. "Dominic, this girl saved my life, and she saved your legacy. What are you going to do about it?"
Dominic stared at Ella for a long, calculating moment. A faint, rare ghost of a smile touched the corners of his lips.
"First," Dominic said, turning to his head of household staff who stood trembling near the door, "get Miss Marsh out of this uniform immediately. Prepare the master east suite on the second floor for her."
Ella’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief. "The... the master suite? Sir, I'm just a maid—"
"Not anymore," Dominic interrupted smoothly. "Starting tonight, you are no longer an employee of this estate, Ella. You are an honored guest. And tomorrow morning, my legal team will draft a new contract."
Ella stared at him, her mind spinning. "A... a contract for what?"

"For running my entire philanthropic foundation," Dominic replied, stepping closer, his dark eyes locked onto hers with a intensity that made her heart race. "Someone with your integrity, your courage, and your unwavering loyalty is wasted scrubbing floors. Unless, of course... you'd rather stay down here?"
Before Ella could process the monumental shift in her universe, the front doors of the estate burst open, and flashing red and blue lights painted the grand hallway in erratic streaks of crimson and azure.
