Chapter 8 - The Clean Slate — "The Auction Of The Century And The Sweet Taste Of Complete Freedom!"

It has been one year since Mark packed his black suitcase and walked out of my life.
Today, the sun is shining brightly over the harbor.

I was no longer borrowing air. I was breathing deeply, surrounded by the beautiful life I had built from the ashes of their betrayal.
The suitcase beside my bedroom door was gone.
And for the first time in my life, I was finally packed for my own adventure.
