Chapter 10 - THE FINAL RECKONING AND A NEW DAWNThe airfield fell into an eerie, smoking silence, broken only by the whine of the jet engines and the howling wind.

Alejandro walked slowly up the metal stairs of the Gulfstream G650. At the top of the landing, backed into the corner of the cabin door, stood Don Fernando Villarreal. The mighty patriarch—the man who had manipulated governments, cartel syndicates, and families for decades—looked old, small, and utterly defeated.

"Go ahead," Fernando muttered, his voice trembling as he raised his hands. "Kill your own father. Prove that you're no better than the monsters who raised you."

Alejandro stopped two feet away from him. He didn't raise his gun. Instead, he reached out with his bare hand and grabbed his father by the collar of his coat, dragging him violently forward until their faces were inches apart.

"I'm not going to kill you," Alejandro whispered, his voice colder than liquid nitrogen. "Death is too easy for a coward like you. You're going to live. You're going to spend the rest of your natural life in a maximum-security federal penitentiary, stripped of every peso, every corporation, and every drop of power you ever stole."

Fernando let out a bitter, desperate laugh. "The courts? The judges? They're all on my payr—"

"Not anymore," Alejandro interrupted, pulling a secure satellite phone from his pocket and tapping the screen. "Elena transmitted every encrypted ledger, offshore bank account, and confession to the Federal Attorney General five minutes ago. Federal tactical units are surrounding this airfield right now."

As if on cue, the wail of dozens of police sirens echoed from the highway perimeter, followed by the blinding sweep of searchlights cutting through the fog as armored federal police vehicles breached the chain-link gates.

Don Fernando’s knees buckled. The color drained entirely from his face as he realized his empire had finally turned to ash.

Alejandro turned his back on him, walking down the steps and sprinting directly toward the white medical transport van.

He threw open the back doors. Camila was stirring, her eyes slowly flickering open against the harsh interior light. Next to her, inside the warm incubator, a tiny pair of fists moved softly as a healthy, robust cry filled the cabin.

Alejandro gently opened the incubator, lifting his newborn son into his arms for the very first time. The baby’s skin was warm, his grip wrapping instinctively around Alejandro’s finger with astonishing strength.

Tears spilled over Alejandro’s cheeks—the first tears he had shed since the day he thought he lost everything.

Camila turned her head slowly, looking up at him with a soft, exhausted smile, the silver chain with his wedding ring still resting safely against her collarbone.

"You came," she whispered, her voice full of a love that no cartel, no fortune, and no lie could ever destroy.

May you like

Alejandro leaned down, pressing his forehead gently against hers, holding his son and his wife close to his heart as the first rays of the Mexican sunrise broke over the horizon, painting the Monterrey sky in brilliant shades of gold and fire.

"I told you," Alejandro smiled, his voice steady and eternal. "Nobody takes my family away from me again."
