The judge didn't hesitate. My conviction was vacated with prejudice, and I walked out of the prison gates under a bright, warm autumn sun.

David Ross was waiting for me with a warm smile and a cup of coffee.

"Welcome back, Claire," David said, handing me the thermos. "What's next?"
