Chapter 10 - The Final LedgerThe crisp morning air of spring brought new life to the Moretti Estate. The white roses in the courtyard were in full bloom once again, their sweet fragrance drifting through the open french doors of the grand library.

Grace sat at a heavy mahogany desk, signing off on a shipment manifest for the newly reorganized Moretti Logistics Foundation—now legally transformed into a legitimate import-export enterprise funding community healthcare clinics across Manhattan.
Footsteps echoed softly across the Persian rug.
Dominic walked in, carrying a small bundle wrapped in fine white cotton. His expression was a mix of terrifying pride and absolute, vulnerable awe.
He stopped beside her desk and carefully lowered the bundle into her arms.
Grace looked down. Peering back up at her with large, startlingly clear gray eyes was a newborn baby girl—their daughter, Elena.
“She has your eyes,” Dominic whispered, kneeling beside Grace’s chair and resting his hand gently over hers on the desk.
“And your stubbornness,” Grace laughed softly, brushing a tiny curl from the baby's forehead.
Leo walked into the library carrying his school backpack, stopping to tickle his new baby sister's tiny foot before looking up at Dominic and Grace. “Can I hold her before the car comes to take me to school?”
“Only with two hands, captain,” Dominic instructed, a faint smile playing on his lips as he helped Leo cradle the baby safely.
As Leo beamed with pride, holding his new sister, Grace leaned back in her chair, looking at the man kneeling beside her. The scars of the past—the warehouse fire, the betrayal of the Bellinis, the blood on the hospital sheets—felt like a lifetime ago. They had survived the fire, the assassins, and the corruption of a city built on secrets.
Dominic reached across the desk, pulling the final ledger of the old syndicate toward him. With a silver fountain pen, he drew a firm, definitive line through the remaining pages of the past, closing the book forever.
He looked up at Grace, his gray eyes shining with an absolute, unshakable devotion.

“The ledger is closed, Grace,” Dominic said softly, his voice steady and low. “From here on out, we only write the future.”
Grace smiled, leaning down to press a warm kiss to his lips, knowing that in a world built on shadows and violence, they had built something unbreakable out of the ashes.
