Chapter 6 - THE FINAL PLOT TWIST

👑 REINA EN LA CÁRCEL: EL GIRO INESPERADO QUE DEJÓ A LA FAMILIA TÓXICA EN LA RUINA TOTAL! 👑Ximena screamed as the cold steel of the handcuffs clicked around her wrists. "Mom! Dad! Don't let them take me! Gabriel, I hate you! I hate you!"
Marta tried to physically block the police officers, but she was quickly warned that she would be arrested for obstruction of justice. She fell to the floor, weeping hysterically, clutching the cheap neon balloons that decorated the room. Don Julián could only watch in silent, broken defeat as his golden child was dragged out of the luxury venue in front of a dozen gossiping onlookers who were busy recording everything on their cell phones.
But the ultimate twist was yet to come.
As the chaos subsided, a distinguished elderly gentleman in a immaculate white suit walked into the ballroom. It was Don Humberto, the billionaire patriarch who had supposedly left an hour ago.
Marta looked up, hope flashing in her tear-stained eyes. "Don Humberto! Please, tell them it's a mistake! Talk to the police! Save my daughter!"
Don Humberto ignored Marta completely. He walked straight past her and stopped right in front of Gabriel’s table. He looked down at little Nicolás, who was smiling bravely, and then looked at Gabriel.
"Mr. Ramírez," Don Humberto said, his voice surprisingly warm. "I didn't leave. I stayed behind to watch how you handled this situation. And I must say... I am profoundly impressed."
Gabriel stood up, shaking the billionaire's hand. "Thank you, Don Humberto. I am sorry your son was dragged into my family's malice."
Don Humberto waved his hand dismissively. "My son is an arrogant fool who was blinded by vanity. He deserved to learn this lesson. But you... you are a man of absolute integrity, brilliant strategic thinking, and fierce loyalty to your son. My company, corporate logistics, has been looking for a regional maintenance director for our nationwide hotel chain. A position that requires absolute honesty, financial oversight, and leadership under pressure."
Don Humberto pulled out a business card and handed it to Gabriel.
"The salary is $150,000 USD per year, with full medical benefits for you and your son, including top-tier asthma specialists," Don Humberto smiled. "And I think your son deserves the biggest, most extravagant dinosaur birthday party this country has ever seen, fully sponsored by my company. What do you say?"
Gabriel looked at the card, then down at Nicolás, whose eyes were shining with hope. The dark cloud that had hung over their lives for years had completely vanished.
"I accept, sir," Gabriel said, his voice thick with emotion.
Six months later, Ximena was sentenced to five years in a federal penitentiary for grand larceny and identity theft, with no possibility of parole. Marta and Don Julián were forced to sell their house in Tonalá to pay off the remaining legal fees and bank penalties, ending up in a tiny, cramped rented apartment, forgotten by the high society they so desperately wanted to impress.
Meanwhile, in a beautiful penthouse overlooking Guadalajara, Gabriel watched as Nicolás blew out the candles on a magnificent, four-tier, automated moving dinosaur cake that filled the entire room with chocolate aroma.
Nicolás hugged his father tightly around the neck. "Daddy, this is the best birthday ever. Nobody can throw this one away."
Gabriel kissed his son's forehead, looking out at the bright, beautiful city skyline.
