Chapter 15 - The Digital Tsunami

Clara’s fingers flew across the terminal keyboard with terrifying speed. The override code she had written during her final month at the Costa syndicate wasn't just a backup plan—it was a weapon designed to target every single offshore shell company, encrypted cryptocurrency wallet, and illegal maritime shipping route currently owned by the surviving Marino syndicate.
Enter command: PURGE_ALL.
On the bridge monitors, lines of green code began flashing red. Accounts frozen in Zurich, Geneva, and the Cayman Islands vanished into a digital black hole. The master ledger Dante had stolen from the vault? Automatically wiped and overwritten with an endless loop of federal arrest warrants.
"No! No, you bitch! What did you do?!" Dante screamed, scrambling up from the floor, blood dripping from his nose as he lunged toward Clara with a concealed switchblade.
Gabriel moved like lightning. He grabbed Dante by the collar, spun him around, and slammed him against the glass window, pressing the cold barrel of his gun directly under Dante's chin.
"Touch her," Gabriel whispered, his eyes completely black with murderous intent, "and I won't wait for the federal agents to pick up the pieces."
Outside, the two approaching speedboats suddenly veered off course as their onboard navigation systems—hijacked by Clara’s automated purge—activated their emergency bilge pumps and flooded their engines, leaving them stranded dead in the water amidst the raging storm.
Clara unplugged her terminal pad, slipping it into her pocket with a calm, satisfied smile. "Your money is gone, Dante. Your assets are frozen. And the Italian coast guard received our anonymous tip ten minutes ago. You're going to spend the rest of your natural life in a very small, very dark box."
The distant sound of chopper blades cut through the thunder. A massive searchlight from a federal maritime rescue and law enforcement helicopter pierced the storm clouds, washing the yacht's deck in a blinding white glare.

Dante went limp in Gabriel’s grip, realization finally setting in. He had lost. Completely. Forever.
Gabriel shoved Dante roughly onto the floor, turning to Clara and pulling her close against his chest as the heavy boots of federal agents began echoing up the exterior stairwell.
