Chapter 6 - The Masterstroke"Explain it to her, Oscar," Valeria said, leaning back in her leather chair, her tone utterly ruthless. "Tell your client what happens when a lawyer drafts a fraudulent self-dealing clause in a corporate contract without disclosing a blood-relation conflict of interest."

"Oscar!" Beatriz shrieked, slamming her hand on the table. "What is she talking about?!"

"Shut up, Beatriz!" Oscar suddenly yelled, sweat breaking out across his forehead.

He looked back at Valeria, his smug composure completely disintegrated. "Valeria... please. We can talk about this. This was just a legal structure... a standard tax mitigation strategy..."

"No, Oscar," Valeria interrupted, her voice dropping like an anvil. "It was embezzlement. And intent to commit grand corporate theft."

Valeria pointed to the second document on the table.

"When Mauricio and I got married," Valeria explained calmly, "I already knew your family was full of parasites, Beatriz. I knew you looked down on me. I knew you thought I was just a naive girl from Hidalgo who could be manipulated. So three years ago, when the company hit its first 100 million peso valuation, I quietly executed a full corporate restructuring."

She pointed to a line of signatures at the bottom of the page.

"Every single asset—the company, the Polanco penthouse, the vehicles, the offshore reserves—was transferred into an irrevocable private trust. The sole beneficiaries of that trust?"

Valeria smiled—a cold, beautiful, radiant smile.

"Don Ernesto Ortega and Doña Rosa Ortega. My parents."

Beatriz’s jaw dropped. She looked at the papers, then at Oscar, then back at Valeria. "No... no! That’s illegal! Mauricio is your husband! He owns half of everything!"

"Mauricio signed the trust agreement three years ago, Beatriz," Valeria revealed smoothly. "He voluntarily renounced all rights to my corporate equity to ensure that if anything ever happened to me, my parents—the people who sold their livestock to give me my first 50,000 pesos—would be protected forever."

Beatriz turned on Oscar like a cornered wild animal. "You told me we had her trapped! You told me I was going to be a multi-millionaire!"

"She tricked us!" Oscar stammered, wiping sweat from his neck. "The original documents from five years ago are completely void! They were superseded by the corporate trust!"

"And that brings us to the third document," Valeria said, knocking her knuckles softly on the remaining piece of paper.

"What... what is that?" Oscar whispered, terrified to even touch it.

"That," Valeria said, "is a formal criminal complaint filed two hours ago with the Federal Attorney General's Office. Tax fraud. Attempted bank wire fraud. Wiretapping. And conspiracy to commit extortion."

She looked at Beatriz, whose face was now twitching with sheer horror.

"The police are waiting downstairs in the lobby, Beatriz," Valeria said quietly. "Not for me. For you and your lawyer."
