Chapter 10 - The Dawn of a New EmpireThe sun was just beginning to peek over the jagged skyline of the city, casting long, golden fingers of light across the damp asphalt of the harbor district.

The private club was quiet now. The sirens had faded into the distance, replaced by the steady, rhythmic hum of container ships moving out toward the open sea.

The boss walked out of the front doors, his heavy trench coat billowing slightly in the crisp morning breeze. The massive war dog trotted faithfully at his side, its powerful shoulders moving with effortless grace, its dark eyes scanning the perimeter with absolute vigilance.

Behind him, Miller and a dozen loyal guards carried the steel briefcase containing the quantum data core—the key that held every corrupt official, every compromised judge, and every federal asset in the palm of the boss's hand.

The empire wasn't broken. It wasn't weak. It had been purged of its rot, cleansed by fire and iron, and rebuilt stronger than it had ever been in its entire history.

The boss paused at the edge of the pier, looking out over the vast, glittering expanse of the ocean. He reached into his coat pocket, not for a gun or a cigar, but for a small, hand-stitched piece of wool fabric—a tiny remnant of the blanket that had carried the greatest deception of his life.

He didn't smile. Kings don't smile when they conquer; they simply look toward the next horizon, knowing that power is never something you hold onto forever—it is something you defend every single day until your last breath.

—Let’s go home, the boss said softly.

The war dog let out a low, contented rumble, and together, they stepped forward into the dawn.
