Chapter 1 - The Shattered GlassThe heavy oak front door didn’t just open; it exploded inward as three armed officers barged into the foyer.

"Police! Hands where we can see them! On the ground! Now!" Detective Chloe Park’s voice sliced through the silence like a razor blade. She moved with practiced, lethal precision, weapon trained squarely on Dominic’s chest.
Dominic froze. The arrogant smirk that had defined his face for eighteen months disintegrated into raw, panicked confusion. "What is the meaning of this?!" he stammered, stepping back, his hands raised instinctively. "This is a private home! My wife had a kitchen accident—"
"Shut your mouth, Dominic," Chloe snapped, gesturing to the backup officers. "We have the live audio and visual stream. We saw everything."
Victoria gasped, dropping her crystal wineglass. It shattered against the hardwood floor, dark red liquid pooling like blood around her designer heels. "You can’t treat my son like this! Do you know who we are? Arthur, call our attorney!"
Arthur stumbled out of the living room, clutching his phone with trembling hands. But two officers instantly flanked him, forcing him against the wall. "Sir, step away from the device and keep your hands visible."
"Get her medical attention now!" Chloe ordered the paramedics rushing in behind her.
As a female officer gently lifted me from the grease-stained floor, Dominic tried to lung toward me. "She’s lying! She set this up! She’s mentally unstable!"
I looked Dominic straight in the eyes as the paramedic wrapped my agonizingly burned hand in cool, sterile dressings. I didn't cry. I didn't flinch.
"The trust fund wasn't yours, Dominic," I whispered, my voice cold as ice. "And neither is this house."

Dominic’s face paled. "What are you talking about?"
"Check your phone," I said softly as the officers slammed him onto the floor and clicked the handcuffs tight around his wrists. "The bank just frozen every single construction account."
