Chapter 3 - The Bloodline Revelation That Shattered Mateo’s World

Viral Hook: "HE IS NOT YOUR EMPLOYEE, ALEJANDRO..." THE DEVASTATING TRUTH THAT TURNED MATEO’S LUXURY LIFE TO ASHES IN SECONDS!The guests began to whisper furiously, but a single, lethal glare from Alejandro’s personal security detail—who had just entered the apartment—silenced them instantly. With a swift motion, the bodyguards escorted the thirty elite guests out of the penthouse, locking the heavy oak doors behind them. The illusion of the perfect party was gone. Only Mateo, Alejandro, and Carmen remained in the grand space.

Alejandro stood up from the floor, wiping the tears from his face, though his eyes remained bloodshot. He turned his gaze toward Mateo, staring at him with a frightening intensity. He looked at Mateo’s nose, the structure of his jaw, the slight wave in his dark hair. For twelve years, Mateo had been his most loyal, hardworking employee. For twelve years, Alejandro had praised Mateo’s sharp business instincts, often remarking to his board of directors that Mateo reminded him of himself in his youth.

Now, the horrific irony of it all crashed down upon him.

"Why did you hide her, Mateo?" Alejandro asked, his voice deathly calm.

Mateo swallowed hard, his confidence completely evaporated. "Sir... the investors... the image of the company... I wanted everything to be perfect for the Managing Partner announcement. I thought... I thought her appearance, her background... it wouldn't fit the elite circle we operate in."

"Her appearance?" Alejandro stepped closer, his presence towering and suffocating. He pointed a shaking finger at the long, thick scar on Carmen’s face. "Do you know how she got this scar, Mateo? Do you know what kind of background she comes from?"

Carmen stepped forward, trying to place herself between the two men. "Alejandro, no. Don't do this. Leave him out of it. He knows nothing."

"He deserves to know what kind of monster he is!" Alejandro roared, turning back to Mateo. "Thirty-two years ago, before I became the CEO of Otero Industries, I was a young man targeted by my family’s bitterest rivals. They trapped me in a locked office building and set it ablaze. I was unconscious, breathing in smoke, waiting to die. Do you know who dragged my body out of those flames?"

Mateo looked at his mother, his eyes wide with horror.

"It was Elena," Alejandro said, his voice dropping to a painful whisper. "She broke through a burning wooden beam to pull me out. That beam fell on her face. It tore her flesh, it burned her skin, it scarred her for life to ensure I survived. And when I woke up in the hospital, my father’s security team told me she was dead. They forced her to run, didn't they, Elena? They threatened to kill her if she ever came back to me because she was a 'simple country girl' who didn't fit our family’s elite bloodline."

Alejandro’s breath hitched as a new realization struck him like a physical blow. He looked from Carmen to Mateo, calculating the timeline. The twelve years Mateo had worked for him. The twenty-eight years of Mateo’s life.

"Elena..." Alejandro whispered, turning back to her, his face pale. "When they forced you to flee... when you disappeared into the slums of the city to hide from my family... were you already carrying my child?"

Carmen closed her eyes, a single tear cutting through the center of her scarred cheek. She didn't have to speak. The silence was her confession.

Mateo’s knees buckled. The billionaire boss he had betrayed his own mother to impress... was his biological father.
