Chapter 5 - THE SNOWSTORM SHOTDOWN

Viral Hook: She thought she was trading her father's secrets for millions. Instead, she found herself staring down the barrel of a gun.
The wind howled outside the abandoned warehouse near the edge of Chicago O'Hare. Snow drifted through the cracks in the corrugated iron walls.
Callista stood under a single flickering lightbulb, clutching the backup USB drive tightly. Her luxury cream dress was stained with slush, and she was shivering violently.
A sleek black limousine pulled into the warehouse, its headlights blinding her. The doors opened, and three men in heavy winter coats stepped out. In the middle was none other than Julian Monroe—who had somehow escaped Adelaide’s mansion—alongside the CEO of AeroTech Global, Marcus Vance.
"You're late, corporate girl," Julian sneered, wiping blood from his lip where Adelaide’s guards had hit him. "Did you bring it?"
"Where's my money?" Callista demanded, her voice trembling. "And how did you get out?"
"My grandmother is old and sentimental. Her guards are easily bribed," Julian laughed coldly. "Now, give me the drive."
Callista handed it over. Marcus Vance plugged it into a rugged laptop. After a few seconds, he nodded. "It's all here. The metallurgy reports, the deleted emails, the offshore bank accounts. It's clean. We're safe."
Callista smiled, a surge of adrenaline rushing through her. "Great. Now give me my fifty million. Transfer it to my Swiss account."
Julian looked at Marcus, and then both men broke into a cruel, mocking laughter.
"Fifty million?" Julian giggled. "You really are an idiot, Callista. Just like your old man. You actually thought we would let the daughter of the whistleblower walk away alive? You just handed us the only evidence that could put us in prison."
Before Callista could scream, Marcus Vance pulled a silenced pistol from his coat pocket and pointed it directly at her forehead.
"Please!" Callista begged, falling to her knees in the dirt and snow. "I betrayed my own father for you! I'm on your side!"
"There are no sides in this business, sweetheart," Julian said, turning his back. "Just winners and dead weight. Finish her, Marcus. Make it look like a tragic accident in the snowstorm."
Marcus raised the gun. Callista closed her eyes, tears streaming down her face, bitterly regretting the greed that had blinded her.
BANG!

The sound echoed through the warehouse—but it didn't come from Marcus’s gun.
The main bay doors of the warehouse exploded inward as a massive airport snowplow smashed through the metal walls, showering everyone in sparks and debris. Behind the wheel of the massive machine, roaring with rage, was seventy-one-year-old Archie Whitman.
