Chapter 4 - Blood on the LinoleumCinematic Prompt & Visual GuidanceVideo Prompt (15-sec cinematic realistic): Action-drama shot, slow motion. Thomas lunging forward to tackle a masked intruder near the kitchen island. Dust motes dancing in the sunbeam, a coffee mug shattering on the floor in ultra-slow motion. Realistic struggle, grunts, heavy breathing, no superhero acrobatics—raw, brutal, desperate self-defense. Cinematic color grading with cool blues and warm amber highlights.

The air in the kitchen turned thick with the acrid smell of cordite and gunsmoke.
The lead operative swung his rifle barrel toward the pantry door where Elena and Sophie were cowering. Thomas moved with explosive, cold-blooded speed. He didn't use a gun—he didn't carry one, relying instead on a security detail that had just been cut off. Instead, he grabbed the heavy cast-iron skillet resting on the stove and hurled it with blinding force.
The iron pan caught the operative squarely in the side of his tactical helmet, sending him stumbling sideways into the refrigerator with a sickening crunch.
The second operative raised his weapon, pivoting toward Thomas.
"Drop it!" the operative shouted.
Thomas didn't drop anything. He lunged across the kitchen island, slamming his forearm into the man's throat and driving him backward through the screen door into the blinding afternoon sun of the backyard.
They crashed onto the neatly mown lawn, rolling over the sprinkler heads. The operative swung the butt of his carbine, catching Thomas across the temple. A warm trickle of crimson blood instantly cut through the dirt on Thomas’s forehead, matting his dark hair. But Thomas didn't stop. Years of high-stakes survival instinct kicked in; he pinned the man's arm against the grass, twisting the joint until a sharp crack echoed through the quiet suburban yard.
The man went limp, unconscious from the pain.
Panting heavily, blood dripping from his temple onto his charcoal suit, Thomas scrambled back to his feet. He wiped his face with the back of his hand, his eyes scanning the perimeter.
The armored SUV at the curb had shifted, its engine roaring to life. Through the tinted windshield, Thomas saw the silhouette of a third man—the driver—reaching for a heavy submachine gun mounted on the passenger seat.
"Thomas!"
Elena’s voice rang out from the kitchen doorway. She was clutching Sophie tightly against her chest, the little girl’s face buried in her mother’s neck, crying silently.
"Get to the Ferrari," Thomas ordered, his breath coming in ragged gasps. He pulled a heavy set of brass keys from his pocket and tossed them across the grass. "Run for the driver's side. Don't look back."
"I can't drive a manual sports car!" Elena yelled over the roar of the approaching SUV.

"You can learn right now, or you die here!" Thomas shouted back, his voice cutting through the chaos like a knife.
He didn't wait for her answer. He sprinted toward the green Ferrari, throwing himself into the passenger seat just as the armored SUV slammed its bumper against the driver's side door, nearly crushing metal against metal.
