Chapter 10 - The Secret FoundationLater that night, long after Lily had fallen asleep upstairs in her bedroom with her school ribbon pinned proudly to her pillow, Ethan sat alone at the kitchen table.

The apartment was quiet. Outside, the Chicago wind rustled the autumn leaves against the windowpane.

On the laptop screen in front of him, a secure encrypted portal glowed softly in the dark. It showed the consolidated dashboard of Crestline Dynamics—seventeen companies, thousands of employees, millions of customers, and billions in valuation.

He reached out and tapped the keyboard, typing a single, quiet response back to his CEO:

“Keep it that way. Let the work speak for itself.”

Then he closed the laptop, turned off the kitchen light, and walked down the hall to check on his daughter, knowing that the foundation holding their lives together was stronger than ever.
