**CHAPTER 1: "Just Another Old Man"... Or So They Thought

The security line at Reagan International Airport stretched farther than anyone had expected. Business travelers sighed impatiently. Families struggled with crying children. Everyone wanted to catch their flights.

Standing quietly near the front of the line was a silver-haired man in an ordinary navy suit. He carried only one worn leather briefcase and smiled politely at everyone around him.

When it was finally his turn, a young TSA officer frowned.

"Step aside."

The old man nodded without arguing.

Another officer searched his bag. Then another.

Within seconds, three agents surrounded him.

Passengers began whispering.

"Did they find something?"

"He looks dangerous."

"I knew something was wrong."

The elderly man never raised his voice.

Instead, he calmly asked,

"May I know why I'm being detained?"

The officer smirked.

"Routine inspection."

Five more minutes passed.

Then ten.

His boarding announcement echoed through the terminal.

Final call.

The old man glanced toward the departure gate but remained perfectly calm.

One impatient supervisor walked over.

"If you have nothing to hide," he snapped, "stop asking questions."

People nearby pulled out their phones.

Someone started recording.

The video quickly spread across social media with captions like:

"Old businessman causes chaos at airport security."

The comments poured in.

"Throw him in jail."

"He definitely looks guilty."

"No innocent person stays this calm."

The old man looked around the crowded terminal...

...and quietly reached into his jacket pocket.

Every officer instantly became tense.

Hands moved toward their weapons.

The airport fell completely silent.

Slowly...

He opened a black leather wallet.

Inside wasn't a driver's license.

It wasn't a passport.

It was a dark blue credential carrying a federal seal.

The young TSA officer laughed.

"Nice fake badge."

The old man slowly closed the wallet.

Then he looked directly into the officer's eyes.

"I wasn't showing it to you."

He turned toward the airport's security cameras.

"...I was showing it to the people who own this airport."

No one understood what he meant.

Not yet.
