Chapter 1 - THE TAPE THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING 🔥Marcus Thorne stared at the glowing monitor in the secure control room, his knuckles turning white as he gripped the edge of the desk. Beside him stood Dr. Arthur Vance—Khloe’s uncle and the chief of hospital security—whose cold eyes never left the screen.

The security footage was crystal clear. High-definition 4K video captured every fraction of a second inside the private suite.
On screen, Isabella’s face transformed from fake innocence to pure, unfiltered malicious joy. The footage captured her leaning down, whispering into Khloe’s ear, and shoving her with vicious force into the marble counter. It showed the violent impact, the shattering crystal, and Isabella’s designer heel slamming ruthlessly into Khloe’s side as she lay helpless, cradling her pregnant belly.
Then came Isabella’s fake tears as Marcus had burst through the door—the masterclass in sociopathic deception.
"I’ll have her arrested within the hour," Dr. Vance said, his voice dripping with venom. "Assault on a pregnant woman, attempted murder, home invasion of a private medical suite. She will die in prison."
"Wait," Marcus said. His voice wasn’t filled with rage. It was completely hollow.
Dr. Vance frowned. "Wait? Marcus, she almost killed your wife and your unborn child! What is wrong with you?"
"Rewind the tape," Marcus whispered, pointing at the monitor. "Go back thirty seconds before Isabella entered the room. Look at Khloe."
Dr. Vance pressed rewind.
The screen jumped backward. Before Isabella ever walked into the suite, Khloe had been sitting at the table alone. But she wasn't just resting. She was holding a small, unmarked black tablet, frantically typing on an encrypted messaging platform.
Marcus zoomed in on the high-resolution feed.
On the screen of Khloe’s tablet was a live transfer status bar: TRANSFERRING ASSETS: 75% COMPLETE.
Beneath the status bar was the receiving bank account name: Thorne Global Offshore Trust. And beneath that was the sender's identity—an encrypted account linked directly to the rival syndicate that had been trying to bankrupt Marcus’s empire for three years.
Khloe wasn't just sitting alone taking a breath away from the gala. She was actively wiping out Marcus's corporate treasury, transferring hundreds of millions of dollars out of his accounts while using the hospital suite as a dead-drop location.
And then came the most devastating detail on the recording.
When Isabella shoved Khloe, Khloe didn't slip. She let herself fall.
The video clearly showed Khloe watching Isabella’s hand move in slow motion. Instead of stepping back or bracing herself, Khloe intentionally leaned into the impact, angling her body so her shoulder took the brunt of the collision with the marble table, while using her hand to smash the glass on the floor to make maximum noise. She had deliberately amplified the scene to look like a lethal assault the exact second she heard Marcus’s footsteps in the hallway.
She had used Isabella’s jealousy as the ultimate smokescreen.
Isabella was a violent, psychotic attacker—but Khloe was the mastermind who had lured her there to stage her own tragedy and cover up a massive corporate heist.
"My God..." Dr. Vance breathed, his hostility suddenly faltering as he stared at his own niece on the screen. "Khloe..."
Before Marcus could speak, the control room doors slammed open.
A nurse ran in, out of breath, her face pale as snow. "Mr. Thorne! Dr. Vance! Come quickly! Mrs. Thorne is awake, but her blood pressure is spiking! And... and the police have arrived!"

Marcus turned away from the screen, his face a terrifying mask of emotionless ice.
"Don't delete that tape," Marcus ordered the security officer. "Save three copies. One for my lawyers. One for the police. And one for my wife's bedside table."
