Chapter 8 - THE SHOCKING FINAL TWIST (THE END) 👑SIX MONTHS LATER

The bright sun of the French Riviera glittered across the Mediterranean Sea.
On the private balcony of a magnificent cliffside estate in Monaco, Khloe sat in a white linen dress, watching the waves crash against the rocks below.
Beside her was a pristine glass bassinet. Inside lay a healthy, beautiful baby boy with bright, intelligent dark eyes.
The glass doors opened, and Marcus walked out onto the terrace, holding two glasses of fresh juice. He set them on the table and stood beside Khloe, looking down at the baby.
"The global news is calling it the trial of the century," Marcus said softly. "Isabella Rossi received twenty years for felony assault and treason. Arthur Vance was sentenced to life without parole in a maximum-security federal facility."
Khloe didn't look at Marcus. She kept her eyes on her son. "And Thorne Biotech?"
"Dissolved," Marcus replied. "I liquidated the entire company yesterday. The genetic patents have been placed into an irrevocable public trust, managed by a board of independent medical scientists. No single person—including me—will ever own or monetize your father's work again."
Khloe finally looked up at Marcus.
Six months ago, on the deck of that aircraft carrier, Marcus had given her a choice: she could walk away with full legal custody of the child and half of his multi-billion-dollar fortune, or she could stay and help him dismantle the dark empire they had both been trapped in.
She had chosen to rebuild everything on her own terms.
"You gave up your empire for him?" Khloe asked, gesturing to the baby.
"I gave up an empire to protect my family," Marcus said, his voice completely genuine. "I spent ten years fighting monsters until I almost became one. I don't care about the money or the power anymore, Khloe. I only care about you, and him."
Khloe reached down, gently lifting her baby boy into her arms. She cradled him against her chest, feeling his warm, steady heartbeat.
"He looks like my father," Khloe murmured, a soft smile finally touching her face after months of darkness.
"He has your father's eyes," Marcus agreed gently. "And what about his name?"
Khloe looked up at Marcus, her expression calm, powerful, and completely unreadable.
"His name is Richard," Khloe said. Then, her smile slowly turned cold. "Richard Vance..."
Marcus froze. "Vance? Not Thorne?"
Khloe stood up from her chair, holding her son tightly. She leaned in close to Marcus, whispering in his ear—the exact same way Isabella had whispered to her in the hospital suite six months ago.
"Did you really think I believed your speech on the aircraft carrier, Marcus?" Khloe whispered, her voice laced with lethal grace. "Did you really think I didn't know you were the one who authorized the IVF procedure in the first place?"
Marcus’s eyes widened in utter shock.
"You spent three years using me as an incubator," Khloe continued, her eyes burning with a terrifying, calm intelligence. "You thought liquidating Thorne Biotech made you a hero? I bought 51% of those public trust shares yesterday through four different shell companies."
Marcus stepped back, completely speechless. "Khloe..."
"I didn't just survive your game, Marcus," Khloe smiled, stepping past him toward the estate doors. "I took your empire, I restored my father's legacy, and now I own the ultimate medical breakthrough in human history."
She paused at the doorway, looking back over her shoulder at the man who thought he controlled everything.
"Thank you for the baby, Marcus. My lawyers will send you the divorce papers in the morning."

Khloe walked inside, the heavy glass doors sliding shut behind her, leaving Marcus Thorne standing alone on the balcony, completely defeated by the woman he had underestimated from the very beginning.
