Chapter 3 - Breach of the Gates"Diego Villaseñor! Come out and face the music!"

The voice boomed through the open archway of the study. Senator Robles marched into the room like a general entering a conquered city, his bespoke suit immaculate, his silver hair slicked back, and a venomous smile plastered across his face.

Behind him, Paulina descended the grand staircase, having changed into a sharp red power suit, her eyes blazing with triumphant malice.

"Did you really think you could lock me in a room and discard me like a broken toy?" Paulina sneered, walking up to stand beside her father. "My father owns half the regulatory commissions in this country, Diego. And you’ve just committed corporate suicide by humiliating me over a maid and a bastard brat."

Diego slowly stood up from his desk. He didn't look rushed. He didn't look scared. He looked like an apex predator that had just cornered a pack of wolves.

"You talk about bastards, Senator," Diego said, his voice echoing coldly in the vast room, "while your entire political career is built on embezzling public funds through fictitious construction fronts."

Senator Robles’s face drained of color, his smug smile faltering. "You're bluffing. You have no proof—"

"I have every ledger," Diego interrupted, tossing a heavy leather-bound folder onto the mahogany desk. "Your daughter thought she was so smart searching my private study last week. She didn't realize my security system logs every keystroke and every file opened. Every document proving your family's financial ruin and corruption has already been mirrored to the Attorney General's anti-corruption unit."

Silence dropped over the room like a guillotine.

Paulina gasped, stepping back. "That's a lie! Dad, he's lying!"

"Is he?"

A sharp, metallic click echoed at the front entrance.

Three federal police cruisers had blocked the mansion gates, and four officers in tactical gear stepped into the foyer, led by a senior federal investigator holding an arrest warrant.

"Senator Robles, you are under arrest for federal fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy," the lead investigator announced, stepping into the study.

Chaos erupted. The reporters Senator Robles had brought along began flashing cameras furiously, capturing every agonizing second of the downfall.
