Chapter 10 - The Sovereign QueenSix months after the trial, I stood once again on the waterfront terrace of the Palm Beach mansion.

The sun was setting, painting the sky in breathtaking shades of amber, violet, and deep crimson. The ocean was calm, mirroring the absolute peace that now settled deep within my soul.

My father walked out, placing a velvet-lined jewelry box on the stone table between us.

Inside lay my grandmother's emerald necklace—the same one I had worn the night I reclaimed my crown.

"It looks better on you now than it ever did in the past," my father observed softly, wrapping an arm around my shoulders. "You wear it with truth."

I reached down, lifting the heavy emeralds and letting them catch the fading evening light.

I had spent seven years washing dishes in the dark, believing love meant sacrifice, silence, and submission. I had thought that hiding my true power was the price of a normal life.

Instead, I discovered something far greater.

True power isn't about hiding in the shadows to protect someone else's fragile ego. It's about standing tall in the blinding light of your own truth, knowing that you built your empire with your own hands, your own mind, and your own unyielding strength.

I fastened the necklace around my neck, turned toward the open ocean, and smiled into the night.

I wasn't hiding anymore. I was the storm.
