Chapter 9 - A New Era on CampusMonday morning arrived with a crisp autumn breeze sweeping across the Whitmore University quad.

When students walked into the main cafeteria, they noticed an immediate difference. The old, intimidating barriers around the serving counters had been removed. A fresh, bright banner hung above the entrance: Whitmore University: Open, Equitable, and Inclusive for All Students.

At table four, Amara sat with Tyler, Sophie, and Leo, laughing over a cup of coffee.

As she walked up to the serving line to grab her breakfast, a new dining supervisor—a warm, middle-aged man with a welcoming smile—nodded respectfully.

"Good morning, Ms. Coleman. What can I get for you today?"

Amara smiled back, feeling the weight of the past six weeks completely lift off her shoulders. "Just a black coffee and a bagel, please."

As she picked up her tray, her phone buzzed in her pocket. It was a text from her father:

Checking in. Are you eating right? Have a great class today, kiddo. Love you.

May you like

Amara typed back quickly: Eating well, Dad. Thanks to you. Love you too.

She turned around, looking out across the bustling cafeteria where students of every background, race, and walk of life sat together without fear, knowing the rules had finally changed for good.
