Chapter 9 - THE WEDDING BY THE SEASix months later.

The sun shone brightly over the coastal gardens of the Maine estate.
White roses lined the aisle leading down toward the ocean cliff. A small, intimate gathering of true friends, house staff, and doctors who had supported Grace stood along the seats.
Harrison stood at the altar wearing a dark blue suit, his eyes fixed on the end of the aisle.
Music played softly as eight-year-old Grace walked down the aisle in a pretty pink dress, tossing white rose petals from a basket, smiling brightly.
Then, Claire appeared.
She wore a breathtaking lace wedding gown that trailed behind her on the green grass. She walked down the aisle alone—strong, proud, and radiant.
Harrison felt his breath catch in his throat as she reached him. He took her hands in his, his fingers interlocking with hers.
"You look like an angel," Harrison whispered softly.
"I'm just a waitress who got lucky," Claire teased warmly, tears of joy shining in her eyes.
"You are my Donnessa," Harrison corrected fiercely. "My life, my wife, my everything."
They exchanged simple, beautiful vows, promising to protect each other and love Grace for all the days of their lives.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife," the officiant announced warmly. "You may kiss the bride."
Harrison pulled Claire into his arms, kissing her with a deep, passionate love as the crowd erupted into joyful applause!
