Chapter 6 - THE MEDIA FIRESTORM"You... you did what?" Director Vance stammered, taking a jerky, involuntary step backward toward the exit.

"Every single word," I said, holding up the phone so the screen glowed brightly in his face. It showed an active, encrypted broadcast interface with over forty thousand live viewers already tuned in, streaming straight from my hidden purse-strap camera. "Dr. Lawson admitting to the unauthorized bio-transponder. Robert confessing to the two-million-dollar corporate bribe. And you... proudly bragging about remote-killing a fifteen-year-old child to protect corporate property."
Director Vance lunged forward with lightning speed, his hand clawing for my phone to smash it against the wall.
He never made contact.
Before Vance's fingers could graze the screen, the double doors of Exam Room 4 were kicked completely off their hydraulic hinges with a deafening crash.
"FBI! Federal Law Enforcement! Nobody move!"
Four heavily armed federal agents in tactical gear poured into the room, their assault rifles raised and laser sights painting a web of red dots across Director Vance’s chest. Two agents immediately tackled Vance to the floor, pinning his face hard against the linoleum tile while slapping heavy steel handcuffs onto his wrists.
Dr. Lawson raised his hands slowly into the air, backing up against the supply counter with wide, terrified eyes.
Robert remained on his knees, completely paralyzed, staring at the federal badges flashing in the harsh overhead light.
An older, silver-haired woman in a dark tailored pantsuit stepped past the tactical agents, entering the room with an aura of absolute authority. She pinned a gold shield to her lapel: Special Agent-in-Charge Miller, Federal Cyber and Corporate Crimes Division.
Agent Miller looked around the chaotic exam room, took in Maya’s pale, shivering form on the bed, and then fixed her sharp eyes directly on me.
"Mrs. Cynthia Thorne?" Agent Miller asked briskly.
"Yes," I answered, my voice steady, though my knees were shaking so hard I could barely stand.
"We've been monitoring Helios Bio-Tech’s illegal human trial network for six months, but we lacked the physical evidence to secure a search warrant for their local facility," Agent Miller said, pulling a digital tablet from her briefcase. "Your live stream just gave us probable cause across three federal jurisdictions. You and your daughter are safe now."
She turned her gaze to Robert, who was still kneeling on the floor, staring blankly at the wall.
"And Robert Thorne," Agent Miller continued, nodding to two tactical officers. "Book him on charges of child endangerment, corporate espionage, reckless endangerment of a minor, and conspiracy to commit unauthorized human experimentation. Take him away."
Robert didn't fight back. He didn't even yell. As the two armed agents hauled him up by his arms and dragged him out of the room, he looked back at me one last time with hollow, defeated eyes.

"Cynthia..." he whispered weakly. "Please..."
I didn't say a word. I turned my back on him, walking back to Maya’s bedside to take my daughter’s hand.
