CHAPTER 2: THE SECRET THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

The sheikh demanded answers.

Immediately.

"What did you say to that horse?"

Leila shook her head.

"I cannot tell you."

The response enraged him.

"You belong to this palace. Everything here belongs to me."

The young woman looked directly at him.

"No."

The confidence in her voice stunned everyone.

"The horse does not belong to you."

The sheikh's face turned red.

"I paid ten million dollars for it!"

"You paid for its body."

The crowd fell silent.

"But you never earned its trust."

For the first time in years, nobody dared move.

Even the guards seemed frozen.

Leila turned toward the horse.

"May I show you something?"

Without waiting for permission, she carefully walked toward the stable.

The stallion followed.

No ropes.

No chains.

No commands.

It simply followed her.

Like a loyal friend.

Inside the stall, she examined the animal closely.

Then her expression changed.

Something was wrong.

Very wrong.

She noticed an old scar hidden beneath the horse's mane.

A symbol.

A mark.

One she recognized immediately.

Years earlier, before becoming a palace servant, Leila had lived with her father in a distant desert village.

Her father had been one of the most respected horse trainers in the region.

He taught her that every horse carries memories.

Every horse remembers kindness.

And every horse remembers betrayal.

The mark belonged to her father's ranch.

Her heart began racing.

It was impossible.

This horse had once belonged to her family.

Years ago, bandits had attacked their village.

Several horses disappeared.

Among them was a young black colt her father loved more than anything.

The colt had vanished.

Now it stood before her.

Grown into a magnificent stallion.

The realization left her speechless.

That evening she searched through old palace records.

Hours later she discovered the truth.

The horse had been stolen.

Sold repeatedly across several countries.

Passed between wealthy owners.

Abused.

Beaten.

Forced into brutal training.

The animal wasn't aggressive because it was wild.

It was aggressive because it no longer trusted humans.

And the sheikh had unknowingly continued the cycle.

The next morning, Leila revealed everything.

The entire royal court gathered.

The sheikh listened carefully.

When she finished speaking, silence filled the hall.

For the first time in his life...

The powerful ruler looked ashamed.

He remembered every whip.

Every punishment.

Every attempt to break the horse's spirit.

He slowly lowered his head.

"What should I do?"

Nobody expected those words.

A ruler asking a servant for guidance.

Leila answered softly.

"Apologize."

The court erupted in laughter.

Apologize to a horse?

Absurd.

Ridiculous.

Impossible.

Yet the sheikh stood.

Walked toward the stable.

And did exactly that.

The crowd watched in stunned silence.

The powerful ruler placed his hand on the stallion's neck.

"I was wrong."

The horse stared at him.

For several long seconds.

Then something happened that no one would ever forget.

The stallion gently lowered its head.

As if accepting the apology.

Many people in the crowd openly cried.

But destiny was not finished with them yet.

May you like

Because that same night...

An assassin entered the palace.
