Chapter 6 - Federal InterruptionThree men in dark suits marched up the aisle, flanked by two uniformed police officers. Leading them was David Vance, holding a thick leather briefcase with federal seals gleaming in the light.

“Adrian Vale? And Celeste Moreau?” David asked loudly, his voice bouncing off the vaulted ceilings.

Adrian swallowed hard, trying to regain a shred of his corporate dignity. “This is a private wedding ceremony. You have no right—who the hell are you?”

“David Vance, legal counsel for Vale Global Industries—and special prosecutor for the state financial crimes division,” David announced crisply, pulling documents from his briefcase. “Mr. Vale, you are hereby served with a federal warrant for corporate embezzlement, asset stripping, and tax fraud totaling 4.2 million dollars.”

The church erupted into absolute chaos. Reporters—tipped off by my PR team—suddenly poured through the side doors, camera shutters flashing like a violent thunderstorm.

“This is a mistake! It’s a setup!” Celeste shrieked, her voice cracking into a hysterical screech as she tried to back away from the altar. “Adrian, do something! Call your lawyers!”

“I can’t, Celeste,” Adrian whispered, his knees finally buckling as he stared at the federal marshals closing in around him. “She… she owns the parent company now.”

David Vance turned to face the stunned crowd, holding up a single piece of heavy parchment paper embossed with gold seals.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” David announced clearly for the microphones. “By virtue of a hostile corporate takeover executed at midnight, backed by undeniable proof of internal embezzlement orchestrated by Miss Moreau and partially signed off by Mr. Vale, the majority shareholder of Vale Global is no longer Adrian Vale.”

David turned and bowed slightly toward me.

“It is Mrs. Mia Vale. And her daughter, Elena.”
