Chapter 20 - A New Empire (The Ultimate Conclusion)Three months later, the sun shone brightly over the sprawling lawns of the Moretti estate. The heavy iron gates no longer felt like the jaws of a prison; they were simply the boundaries of a home.

In the garden, three-year-old Leo was running across the grass, laughing wildly as he chased a golden retriever puppy. Sitting on a white wrought-iron bench under the shade of an oak tree, Clara watched him with a soft, genuine smile.

Rico walked out from the back patio, carrying two glasses of iced lemonade. He handed one to Clara and sat down beside her, his arm draping casually over the back of the bench.

"The federal indictments against the Petrov remnants were signed this morning," Rico said quietly, watching his son play. "The New York underworld is officially unified under one banner. Ours."

Clara took a sip of her lemonade, turning to look at him with a teasing smirk. "And I suppose the ruthless Butcher of Brooklyn is going to retire and become a full-time family man?"

Rico chuckled, turning his head to meet her eyes. The cold, shattered ice in his gaze was completely gone, replaced by a deep, unwavering warmth. "Not retire, Clara. Just... delegating the violence to people who deserve it. My main priority is right here."

He reached out, his fingers brushing against hers, tangling with the vintage diamond ring that no longer felt like a fake prop.

Clara leaned her head against his shoulder, watching Leo chase the puppy across the sunlit grass. The nightmare of the past was finally buried, and in its place, a powerful, unbreakable empire of love and survival had risen from the ashes.

"Good," Clara whispered, closing her eyes with a peaceful smile. "Because I'm not going anywhere."
