Chapter 10 - The Ultimate FlightOne year later.

At Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Flight 402 to Miami was boarding at Gate 47.

A well-dressed man in a comfortable gray sweater walked down the terminal holding hands with a little girl in a bright red dress. Behind them walked a radiant woman carrying travel bags, laughing as the little girl skipped ahead.

A businessman in an expensive suit rushed past them, checking his watch frantically, muttering curses under his breath about a delayed connection and a lost board meeting.

Cameron paused for a second, watching the hurried man disappear into the crowd.

“Daddy, come on! We’re going to miss boarding!” Hope called out, waving her boarding pass in the air.

Cameron smiled, shaking his head. He looked down at his own watch, then at Clara, who took his hand with a soft, knowing grin.

“Coming, sweetheart,” Cameron answered.

He didn't care if the flight left without him. Because this time, he wasn't running to a boardroom.
