Chapter 10 - Our Forever AfterThe wedding took place on a breathtaking evening in late June, right on the shores of Lake Washington as the sun dipped below the Cascade Mountains, painting the sky in shades of gold, pink, and violet.

There were no press cameras, no corporate executives, and no unwanted guests. Just our closest friends, a handful of trusted colleagues, and an atmosphere overflowing with genuine love and redemption.
Emily walked down the aisle in a stunning, flowing ivory lace gown that caught the evening breeze. She looked more breathtaking than the day we first met in college, her eyes shining with unshed tears of pure happiness.
Waiting at the altar, holding a tiny, tuxedo-clad Noah in my arms, I felt like the richest man in the universe—not because of the billions in my bank accounts or the sprawling empire I commanded, but because of the little family waiting for me at the end of the aisle.
As Emily stepped up to stand beside me, our hands intertwined naturally, warm and unshakeable.
"Do you, Gavin, take Emily to be your lawfully wedded wife, to cherish, protect, and love through every storm?" the officiant asked softly.
I looked deep into Emily’s green eyes—the same eyes that our son had inherited, the same eyes that had guided me out of the darkest winter of my life.
"I do," I said firmly, my voice ringing out clearly across the water. "More than my own life."
"And do you, Emily, take Gavin..."
"I do," she whispered, a radiant smile gracing her lips.
When the officiant pronounced us husband and wife once more, I pulled Emily into a deep, passionate kiss as applause erupted around us. Down in my arms, Noah let out a happy gurgle, grabbing insistently at my lapel as if demanding to be included in the embrace.
We pulled him into our arms together, a complete, unbroken family under the summer sky.
