Charles sighed, looking older than his years. He opened a safe and pulled out a document. "I didn't frame him, Lena. Thomas was a genius software engineer. We developed a data encryption algorithm together years ago. But Thomas grew greedy. He tried to sell it to foreign entities. When I stopped him, he staged the bank robbery to steal the physical servers. I didn't send him to prison; his own greed did."

"And Annie?" Lena’s voice cracked. "Does she really hold the key?"

"Thomas encrypted the final drive using a biometric sequence based on a unique genetic marker—a specific neurological rhythm that manifests as perfect physical timing. That's why she can dance like that, Lena. It's not just talent; her brain processes rhythm differently. Thomas coded the vault so that only someone with that exact genetic marker can open it. If Thomas gets to her, he can unlock a weaponized software that could crash global financial systems."
