Chapter 10 - THE FINAL WHISPERDeep within the high-security subterranean servers of Moretti-Carter Biotech, miles away from the glittering lights of Manhattan, a single server terminal blinked in the dark.

A silent, automated diagnostic script initiated its routine check, scrolling through global telemetry feeds.

For a fraction of a second, on an encrypted, unlisted system monitor, a string of data flashed across the screen: PROJECT ICARUS ARCHIVE: RESTORED & ENCRYPTED BY USER_ID: E_CARTER.

Beneath it, a single text prompt blinked rhythmically, waiting for input:

“Access granted. Welcome back, Director Carter.”

In the reflection of the glass monitor, a figure stood watching in the quiet room—neither employee nor intruder, but something entirely new. The game had changed. The girl who used to watch wrists now held the entire clockwork of the world in the palm of her hand.

And somewhere out there in the dark, the unseen forces that had tried to destroy her realized too late: they hadn't gotten rid of the threat. They had simply given her the keys to the kingdom.
