CHAPTER 1 — The Billionaire's Vault Opened... Then a Dirty Boy Claimed the Dead Man Was His Father

The ballroom glittered like a kingdom built from money.

Crystal chandeliers poured golden light across polished marble floors.

Champagne glasses sparkled.

Politicians laughed with celebrities.

Business moguls shook hands beneath walls covered with priceless paintings.

Tonight was supposed to be the celebration of the decade.

Sebastian Vale—the man every magazine called the "new king of the Vale Empire"—stood proudly beside the legendary steel vault that had remained sealed for fifteen years.

It wasn't just a safe.

It was Adrian Vale's final secret.

The billionaire founder had died in a mysterious helicopter crash without leaving a public heir.

His lawyers claimed the vault could only be opened by someone who knew the original security sequence.

For fifteen years...

No one had.

Until tonight.

Television cameras broadcast the ceremony live.

Thousands watched online.

Sebastian smiled confidently.

"Ladies and gentlemen," he announced.

"Tonight we finally close the last chapter of Adrian Vale's legacy."

The audience applauded.

Lawyers nodded.

Security guards surrounded the vault.

Then—

BOOM!

A violent crash echoed across the ballroom.

A small fist slammed against the thick steel door.

The music stopped instantly.

Guests turned.

A skinny ten-year-old boy stood alone in front of the vault.

His gray hoodie was stained with dirt.

His sneakers were falling apart.

Rainwater dripped from his sleeves onto the marble floor.

He looked completely out of place among diamonds and tuxedos.

Some guests laughed.

Others frowned.

Security immediately rushed toward him.

"Remove him," Sebastian ordered without even looking.

But before the guards could touch him, the boy calmly raised one hand.

"I'll open it."

Silence.

Then laughter exploded through the room.

"A street kid?"

"He thinks this is a movie."

"Somebody get him out."

The boy ignored every voice.

He walked directly toward the keypad.

One guard grabbed his shoulder.

Without turning around, the child quietly asked,

"Do you really want to stop Adrian Vale's son?"

The guard froze.

Sebastian's smile disappeared for the first time.

"What did you say?"

The boy didn't answer.

Instead...

He placed his small fingers on the keypad.

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

Each number echoed louder than the orchestra.

Sebastian slowly stepped forward.

"Who gave you that code?"

The boy whispered,

"No one."

He pressed another key.

"It remembers me."

The lawyers exchanged nervous glances.

The head of security reached for his radio.

Journalists lifted their cameras higher.

Final number.

CLICK.

The green light flashed.

The vault unlocked.

A heavy metallic sound rolled through the ballroom like distant thunder.

Nobody breathed.

The giant steel door slowly swung open.

Inside rested a black velvet box.

Several sealed legal documents.

An old leather journal.

And a faded envelope addressed with only three handwritten words:

"For My Son."

Before anyone could react—

A woman in an emerald evening gown screamed from the back of the room.

"Don't touch it!"

Everyone turned.

Tears streamed down her face.

"That boy..."

"...is Adrian Vale's child."

The ballroom exploded into chaos.

Reporters shouted.

Phones went live.

Guests stepped backward in disbelief.

Sebastian's face turned ghost white.

Because according to every official record...

Adrian Vale had died without ever having a child.

So...
