It was a Tuesday morning. Diana was hanging laundry when a sharp, authoritative knock echoed through the hallway. She opened it to find a man standing there—a man she hadn't seen in five years.

It was Arthur, the twins' father. The man who had walked out when they were infants, leaving nothing but a pile of debt and a broken heart. He looked rich—expensive suit, polished shoes, a shark-like grin.
"I came for my daughters," he said, pushing past her into the small apartment.
