Chapter 6 - THE RAT'S TRAPRicky hadn't just planned to pin the theft on me.

He had set up a secondary insurance policy: if Damian’s enforcers investigated the missing funds, they would find a weapon used in a waterfront robbery two months prior—wrapped in my bloodied uniform—framing me not just for grand larceny, but for violent felony crimes.

Damian slowly stood up from behind his desk. The calm demeanor he had maintained all evening vanished, replaced by a dark, suffocating aura of pure, predatory fury.

"He took my money," Damian whispered, his voice vibrating with absolute lethal intent. "He abused the people who kept my establishment running. And he tried to use my organization to ruin an innocent woman's life."

Damian looked down at me, his gaze softening by a fraction of a millimeter. "Vincent, bring Ricky to the basement floor of the club. Tell him I want to review the accounts personally."
