Melissa's smile disappeared the moment the police blocked her path.
"Ma'am, we need you to open your vehicle."
Her hands immediately began to shake.
"I... I don't know what you're talking about."
Daniel stared at her.
"For once in your life... tell the truth."
Melissa slowly reached into her purse, but before she could unlock the SUV, one officer stepped forward.
"We already have a warrant."

The rear door swung open.

They placed handcuffs around her wrists.
As she was led away, she screamed at Daniel.
"You'll regret this!"
But no one answered.

Three little girls quietly walked toward Evelyn.
One by one, they wrapped their arms around her.
"We're sorry, Grandma."
"We believed the lies."
"Can you forgive us?"
Evelyn hugged them tighter than ever before.
"There was never anything to forgive."
The crowd erupted into applause.
Reporters who had gathered outside captured the emotional reunion.
Within hours, the heartbreaking story spread across the country.
Millions of people called Evelyn "America's Forgotten Grandma."

Just as Daniel tucked the girls into bed...
Someone knocked on the front door.
