Viktor Rostov stood frozen, his smug expression shattering into absolute disbelief as the lead federal marshal stepped forward, tapped Viktor on the shoulder, and slapped steel handcuffs onto his wrists.

"Viktor Rostov," the marshal announced clearly, "you are under arrest for corporate espionage, insider trading, and illegal wiretapping."

David Vance’s name had finally caught up to his conspirators.

As Viktor was dragged screaming and kicking out of the grand ballroom, the crowd erupted into thunderous, roaring applause. Investors, board members, and society elites were cheering—not out of fear, but out of sheer awe.

Anna looked up at Lucas, tears spilling freely over her eyelashes, but this time, they were tears of pure, unadulterated happiness.

"You... you knew they were coming," Anna whispered, a breathless laugh escaping her lips.

"I always anticipate my enemy's next move, Anna," Lucas replied softly, pulling her closer against his chest, his arms wrapping around her with a fierce, protective permanence. "I just didn't expect my favorite move to be the one where I get to spend the rest of my life with you."

Ten minutes later, the ballroom music swelled back to life. The glittering lights of Manhattan shone brightly through the glass windows, casting a warm, golden glow over the entire room.

Across the ballroom floor, little Samuel and Sophia, dressed in their Sunday best, ran over, dragging a tiny stuffed elephant between them, laughing as they grabbed the hem of Lucas's tuxedo jacket.

Lucas looked down, smiling a genuine, unguarded smile—a smile he hadn't worn since he was a little boy.

He scooped both children up into his arms in one effortless motion, wrapping his other arm securely around Anna’s waist.
