Victoria’s eyes darted toward the little girl, her face twisting with pure, unadulterated hatred. She lunged forward toward the table, screaming, “You ungrateful little rat! You stole my key! You ruined everything!”

His expression had transformed from shock into cold, unyielding granite. The grief that had blinded him for three years vanished, replaced by the fierce, protective fury of a father whose child had been threatened.

“Don't you ever touch her,” Alejandro growled, his voice deep and terrifying.

Victoria stumbled back, sneering. “You fools! You think you can throw me out? I have signed contracts! I control the board votes! You’ll be bankrupt within forty-eight hours without me!”
