Chapter 7 - THE RISING EMPIRESix months later, the business pages of The Wall Street Journal carried a front-page headline that shook the global manufacturing sector:

VALE INDUSTRIAL ANNOUNCES COMPLETE RESTRUCTURING; NEW CEO ETHAN VALE PLEDGES BILLIONS TO ADVANCED PROSTHETIC RESEARCH AND PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE.

From the 70th-floor penthouse office of Vale Industrial, I watched the morning sunlight flood across the Manhattan skyline.

The company wasn't just surviving under my leadership; it was thriving. We had scrapped Richard’s dangerous cost-cutting measures, reinstated ethical safety standards, and launched a cutting-edge medical robotics division dedicated to mobility restoration—turning my personal trauma into a global mission to help others.

Grant and his mother were living in a modest suburban rental home in New Jersey, forced to find real jobs for the first time in their lives.

Richard was facing thirty years at Attica State Penitentiary with no possibility of parole.

Martin Creel walked into my office carrying a fresh leather folder, placing it neatly on my desk.

"Global expansion filings are approved, Ethan," Martin said with a respectful nod. "The board is fully aligned. No dissenters left."

I stood up, adjusting the cuffs of my tailored suit jacket.

I walked over to the floor-to-ceiling glass window, looking out over the sprawling expanse of the city. My leg throbbed occasionally where the scar tissue met the prosthetic, but I didn't feel broken.

I felt unstoppable.

"Let them in, Martin," I said, a confident smile touching my lips. "Let's show the world what a real Vale looks like."
