CHAPTER 3 ā THE LAST RIDE OF THE TYRANT

Victor made one desperate decision.
He grabbed Emily by the arm.
Using her as a shield, he forced her toward the arena gate.
"Everyone back!"
"Or she dies!"
Federal agents lowered their weapons.
The town watched in horror.
Victor dragged Emily toward a waiting truck parked behind the stables.
Freedom was only a few steps away.
Then...
Diablo charged.
Victor fired once.
Twice.
Three times.
The bullets struck the dirt.
The enormous bull never slowed.
Victor shoved Emily aside and tried to run.
His expensive shoes slipped in the loose sand.
He crashed face-first into the arena floor.
Before he could stand...
Diablo stopped inches away.
The bull did not gore him.
It simply stood over him.
Towering.
Watching.
Exactly as Thomas Hale had once trained himāto corner cattle without harming them.
Victor screamed in terror anyway.
Federal agents rushed in and placed him in handcuffs.
As officers searched the property, hidden underground tunnels were discovered beneath the old barn.
Inside were decades of financial records, stolen land deeds, and evidence connecting Victor to numerous disappearances.
His empire collapsed within weeks.
Every ranch he had seized was returned to its rightful owners.
Emily inherited Hale Ranchānot because she wanted wealth, but because it had always belonged to her family.
Months later, the town gathered once again in the same arena.
This time there were no armed guards.
No cages.
No fear.
Children laughed while Diablo wandered peacefully through the pasture beside Emily.
The giant bull, once feared as a monster, had never been evil.
He had simply been waiting...
For the last member of the family he still recognized.
As the sun disappeared beyond the hills, an elderly rancher quietly smiled.
"They tried to bury the truth."
"But even a bull remembered who his family was."
And in the end...
May you like
It wasn't revenge that defeated Victor Marelli.
It was loyalty that could never be bought.
