Chapter 7 - The Audit of Min-jae ConstructionsMin-jae was trembling so violently he could barely keep his hands on the table.

“This... this is a trick!” he yelled, looking frantically around the boardroom at the other stunned directors. “She’s lying! She’s an unemployed housewife! She has no money, no corporate standing—!”

“Mr. Seo,” Attorney Park interrupted, sliding a thick stack of certified financial audits across the table toward the senior board members. “Allow me to present the actual ownership ledgers of Min-jae Constructions.”

The senior directors grabbed the folders, their eyes widening in horror as they scanned the pages.

“Good Lord,” the elderly director whispered, looking up at Min-jae with sheer disgust. “Every single commercial property asset, every zoning permit, and every liquidity reserve backing your firm... is legally registered under the Seo Family Trust.”

“You don’t own a single brick of your company, Mr. Seo,” Park added smoothly. “You were simply placed in the CEO chair as a managed proxy. And as of this morning, Chairwoman Seo has officially revoked your executive mandate.”

Min-jae lunged forward across the table, his face twisted in desperate, rabid fury. “You bitch! You ruined me! You played me for seven years?!”

I didn't even flinch. I raised my hand slightly.

The security guards instantly grabbed Min-jae by his arms, yanking him backward and pinning him firmly against the wall of the boardroom.

“You chose to betray a marriage for a mistress who only wanted your title,” I said calmly, standing up from my chair and buttoning my jacket. “You chose cruelty over loyalty. And now, the bill has come due.”

I looked down at the shivering man who had once laughed as he locked me out in the storm.

“Effective immediately, Min-jae Constructions is placed into corporate receivership. Your corporate cards are frozen, your penthouse apartment lease is terminated, and your bank accounts are locked pending a full federal investigation into corporate embezzlement.”
